· To employ, maintain and retain physicians, surgeons, dentists, osteopathic physicians and surgeons, and other educators and support personnel as staff for hospitals and other healthcare facilities, as faculty for medical and dental schools and for related activities; and

Careers

Obstetrics and Gynecology

University Health Physicians (UHP), the academic group practice for the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and OB/GYN Department Chair Dev Maulik, MD, PhD, is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist at Assistant/Associate Professor level to work at Truman Medical Centers and Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
The Department provides tertiary level maternal fetal care in this region, and also participates in multidisciplinary integrated quaternary level perinatal care for high risk fetuses at the Fetal Health Center in collaboration with the Children's Mercy Hospital.

In addition to a busy residency program of 32 residents, the Department of OB/GYN has a fully accredited maternal-fetal medicine fellowship program and exciting opportunities for research and academic development. The Department is involved in perinatal clinical and translational research, and runs a molecular research laboratory. This position also provides excellent research opportunities to collaborate with the UMKC Department of Health and Bioinformatics as well as the Children's Mercy Fetal Health Center.

The ideal candidate should be maternal fetal medicine board certified or eligible, and would demonstrate expertise in advanced maternal fetal care, diagnostic ultrasonography, invasive fetal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, medical education and scholarly activities.

Psychiatrist - Consultation Liaison

Founded in 1972, University Health Physicians (UHP) has a long history of providing quality healthcare for Kansas City. Since its inception, UPA has grown to include over 150 medical staff doctors. As a private not-for-profit corporation we employ the medical staff faculty for the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Our multi-specialty doctors provide patient care at the primary teaching hospitals and their clinics. The UPA administrative staff provides group practice management activities including billing and reimbursement services.

University Health Physicians, and Truman Medical Centers is currently seeking a full-time Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist to join our medical staff in providing psychiatric services in a medical inpatient hospital setting as well as in the Level 1 emergency department.

This position will work as leader of a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatry residents, medical students and medical social workers. Other duties will include: helping to cover our inpatient mental health units during physician absences and teaching of psychiatry residents and medical students. Participation in hospital-based committees and providing lectures to other medical specialties is encouraged.

The qualified candidate will have graduated from an accredited medical school, completing a residency in psychiatry (experience in psychosomatic medicine preferred, but not required)

Emergency Medicine Faculty Position
